Easter Morn
Easter morn,
Dawn of the Resurrection
Breaking on the horizon
Of humankind's darkest hour,
Depth of sorrow and pain.
The Passion of Christ,
Resolution with forgiveness;
What says the morrow of yesteryear?
Doubt coupled with amazement,
Unbelief versus belief.
Divine revelation to some,
Denial by others.
Who is this Christ
Who can break through
The vast horizon of man's sin?
One birth, one life,
One death, one Resurrection;
The Conqueror revealed
One time, throughout time.
Man to be born again,
Not God.
"Hallelujah!"
"It is finished."
"Rejoice, for He is risen!"
